18 August 2023

From the 12th of September 2023 there will be changes to the NZ cervical screening test. Instead of the previous "smear" test every three years, it will switch to a human papillomavirus (HPV) self test using a swab. A negative test result also means you will not need to test for another five years. They will be available from our clinic, and other health centers where you will be provided with a private space to complete your test.​

We welcome Dr Warren Happy, Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of Urgent Care, helping to see patients every Thursday morning.  Dr Wong has known and worked closely with Dr Happy for many years since he first met him when Dr Wong was the medical director at White Cross Henderson in 1996.  Dr Happy has a special interest in diabetes, and in musculoskeletal injuries.

Due to cyclone Gabrielle coming in Auckland, we only see our booked patients from virtual consultation. If you need a face to face consultation, please reschedule to Wed the 15th Feb onward available time. Keep safe! Thank you for understanding the state of emergency situation.

It is terribly tragic that the floods in Auckland has resulted in the loss of 4 people.  Keep safe!  We will reopen on Wednesday 1st February 2023 as we hunker down for this wet long weekend.  If you need medical attention, you can use our new afterhours service for our patients with virtual consultations offered by Practice Plus.

We have a new afterhours service for our patients with virtual consultations offered by Practice Plus.  This is a paid service which will have limited access to your prescriptions, long term classifications, and allergy information.

In addition we are moving our patient portal from ConnectMed to Manage My Health which we trust will serve our patients better.

The website is way out of date as it has been so busy.  Dr Wong insist on seeing all patients so that normal care can resume.  If you have COVID, then the consultation will need to be virtual.  All other patients must have a supervised RAT test in our carpark 15min prior to your appointment.  Please note, the waiting time for appointments is about one week.  Booking online via Connectmed is the easiest way.

Book your COVID vaccine with Dr Wong NOW!  We will safely deliver your vaccination in our carpark by appointment only (to avoid any wastage of this precious vaccine!)

We are able to provide you with a letter of proof of your COVID vaccination so long as we have proof of your vaccination loaded in our system (this is sent directly to us if you inform the vaccination centre that we are your General Practice).  There is a $37 administration fee for the certificate, in addition to any other fees that will be applicable. Please provide your passport name only.

Auckland is still in lockdown level4 until 11.59pm 14th September.  We are only providing virtual (PHONE, VIDEO) consultations. We are working at home, and we have diverted all clinic phone calls to our staff at home to make appointments and organising your repeat prescription. Thanks to our staff who are making things go smoothly . By work this way and staying at home, so we are making sure we are all staying within our own bubbles, protect you and ourselves from this Delta strain Covid virus. Thank you all for being so patient and understanding. To make sure your message is passed on clearly, send us an email is the best way to communicate with us. Stay well and be safe!

We are still in lockdown level4. Our clinic is not open for face to face consultation. We are unable to provide Covid vaccination in our clinic.

During Lockdown Level 4 we are open for virtual consultations only.  Best to email us for any request for appointment/repeat prescription/inquiry as we are working from home with only one phone line.  If you require a COVID swab, Dr Wong will be able to provide a public health referral for you free of charge via a virtual consultation.  This will ensure you have the correct swabbing code for this present outbreak of the COVID delta variant.  Please stay safe as we work together to beat this outbreak.

We are closed during lockdown level 4 and 3 for face to face consultation. We are available with virtual consultations  only. 

All of New Zealand is at Alert Level 4 from 11:59pm on Tuesday 17 August 2021. All New Zealanders should stay home to save lives.

Our Fees: Video/Telephone consultation fee minimum charge is $19.50 or your applicable standard consultation fee, which ever is the greater amount.

We do not offer Covid swab during lockdown time. If you need to do the test, please go to the local community test station to do the swab test.
